分證即者，前三果有學位也。初須陀洹果，此云預流，用八忍、八智，頓斷三界見惑，初預聖流，名見道位。二、斯陀含果，此云一來，斷欲界六品思惑，餘三品在猶潤一生。三、阿那含果，此云不還，斷欲界思惑盡，進斷上八地思，不復還來欲界。此二名修道位。

Identity in partial realization is the stage of those with training in the preceding three fruits. First is the fruit of the srotaāpanna, translated here as stream-enterer; applying the eight forbearances and eight knowledges, one suddenly severs the delusions of view of the three realms and first enters the stream of sages; this is called the stage of the path of seeing. Second is the fruit of the sakṛdāgāmin, translated here as once-returner; one severs six grades of the delusions of thought of the desire realm, with the remaining three grades still moistening a single rebirth. Third is the fruit of the anāgāmin, translated here as non-returner; one completely severs the delusions of thought of the desire realm and advances to sever the thought [delusions] of the higher eight planes, no longer returning to the desire realm. These two are called the stage of the path of cultivation.
