三、方等時，對三藏教半字生滅門，說通、別、圓教滿字不生不滅門。約化儀名漸中。

Third, the Vaipulya period: in contrast to the half-word teaching of arising and ceasing of the Tripiṭaka teaching, expounding the full-word teaching of neither arising nor ceasing of the shared, distinct, and complete teachings. In terms of the conversion method, it is called middle gradual.
