自歸於法，當願眾生，深入經藏，智慧如海。（一拜）自歸於僧，當願眾生，統理大眾，一切無礙。和南聖眾。（一拜）

I take refuge in the Dharma; I pray that sentient beings may deeply enter the sūtra treasury and have wisdom like the ocean. (One bow) I take refuge in the Saṅgha; I pray that sentient beings may lead the great assembly, all without obstruction. Bowing respectfully to the holy assembly. (One bow)
