"I, the monk [name], take refuge and bow my head to all Buddhas and World-Honoured Ones of the ten directions; I now rejoice in the giving, morality, mental cultivation, and wisdom cultivated through the three karmas by all sentient beings, the good roots of the worthies and noble ones of the two vehicles and bodhisattvas, and all the merits of the Dharma of wondrous bodhi realized by the Buddhas of the ten directions and bestowed upon all; in all of them I wholeheartedly rejoice and praise." (Having rejoiced, take refuge and bow to the Three Jewels.)
