爾時，世尊憐愍眾生，覆護一切，重請觀世音菩薩，說消伏毒害呪。爾時，觀世音菩薩大悲熏心，承佛神力，而說破惡業消伏毒害陀羅尼呪：
At that time, the World-Honoured One, taking pity on sentient beings and covering and protecting all, again requested Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva to speak the mantra for eliminating and subduing poison and harm. At that time, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, his mind perfumed by great compassion, received the Buddha's divine power and spoke the dhāraṇī mantra for destroying evil karma and eliminating and subduing poison and harm:
