1.18

禮請陳意自為七：一者、三業供養，二者、奉請三寶，三者、讚歎三寶，四者、作法持呪，五者、禮佛，六者、懺悔，七者、行道旋繞。將入道場，先令一人持呪，結界護持，恐有留難。結界竟，然後可以作法。

The ritual invitation and statement of intent consist of seven [parts]: first, offering through the three karmas; second, reverently inviting the Three Jewels; third, praising the Three Jewels; fourth, performing the ritual and upholding the mantra; fifth, prostrating to the Buddhas; sixth, repentance; seventh, walking the path and circumambulating. When about to enter the bodhimaṇḍa, first have one person uphold the mantra, bound the boundary, and protect it, for fear of hindrance. After the boundary is bounded, one may then perform the ritual.
