若作息災法者，（為除惡業重罪煩惱等障，種種災難官事口舌，鬼魅所著惡星陵逼等。）行者面向北，交脚竪膝而坐，像面向南，於准提像前安置鏡壇，（更想一白色圓壇，於圓壇中遍想嚩字或𮢥字，尊像供具并行者自身俱想在圓壇之中，或於像前只塗拭一圓壇亦得。）觀准提作白色，所獻華果飲食，并自身衣服皆作白色，塗香用白檀，燒香用沈水，然酥燈，以慈心相應，從月一日初夜時起首，至八月日滿，每日三時澡浴、三時換衣。至日滿時，或斷食、或食三白食。（三白食，謂乳、酪、粳米飯或粥，無力者，尊像供具衣服，但運心想之亦得，下準此知之。）若念誦時，前次第持誦至准提呪，誦一百八遍已後，但從唵字誦之，妙言曰：

If performing the method for pacifying disasters: (To eliminate the hindrances of evil karma, grave transgressions, afflictions, and the like; various disasters, official disputes, litigation, possession by ghosts and sprites, and oppression by maleficent stars.) The practitioner faces north and sits with crossed legs and raised knees; the image faces south. Place a mirror altar in front of the image of Cundī. (Furthermore, visualize a white circular altar. In the circular altar, visualize the syllable Va or the syllable Vaṃ everywhere. Visualize the sacred image, the offerings, and the practitioner's own body all within the circular altar; or simply smear and wipe a circular altar in front of the image.) Visualize Cundī as white in color. The flowers, fruits, food, and drink offered, as well as one's own clothing, should all be white. For paste incense use white sandalwood; for burning incense use aloeswood; light ghee lamps. In accord with a compassionate mind, begin at the first watch of the night on the first day of the month and continue until the eighth day is fulfilled. Each day, bathe at the three times and change clothes at the three times. When the days are fulfilled, either fast or eat the three white foods. (The three white foods are milk, curd, and nonglutinous rice cooked as rice or gruel. Those without the means may simply apply mental visualization for the sacred image, offerings, and clothing; know this as the standard below.) When reciting, recite in sequence as before up to the Cundī mantra; after reciting it one hundred and eight times, recite only from the syllable Oṃ onward. The wondrous words are:
