若作敬愛法者，（為求一切聖賢加護、天龍八部歡喜，及求說法辯才、言音清雅、聞者喜悅，及求一切人敬愛、知友親近、冤家和順等。）行者面向西結賢坐，像面向東，於准提像前安置鏡壇，（更想一赤色半月形壇，於半月壇中遍想賀字或含字，尊像供具并行者自身，俱想在半月壇中，或於像前只塗拭一半月形壇亦得。）觀准提作赤色身著緋衣，所獻華果飲食，并自身衣服盡皆赤色，塗香用欝金，燒香以丁香、蘇合香蜜和燒之，然諸果油燈，以喜怒心相應，從十六日後夜時起首，至二十三日滿，每日澡浴斷食，念誦法準前行。妙言曰：

If performing the method for subjugation and attraction (vaśīkaraṇa): (To seek the protection of all the noble and wise, the joy of the devas, dragons, and eight classes, the eloquence of expounding the Dharma, clear and elegant vocal tones pleasing to listeners, the love and respect of all people, the closeness of good friends, the reconciliation of enemies, and so on.) The practitioner faces west and sits in the auspicious posture (bhadrasana); the image faces east. Place a mirror altar in front of the image of Cundī. (Furthermore, visualize a red crescent-shaped altar. In the crescent altar, visualize the syllable Ha or the syllable Haṃ everywhere. Visualize the sacred image, the offerings, and the practitioner's own body all within the crescent altar; or simply smear and wipe a crescent-shaped altar in front of the image.) Visualize Cundī as red in color and wearing crimson garments. The flowers, fruits, food, and drink offered, as well as one's own clothing, should all be red. For paste incense use turmeric; for burning incense, mix cloves and storax with honey and burn it; light fruit-oil lamps. In accord with a mind of joy and wrath, begin in the late watch of the night on the sixteenth day and continue until the twenty-third day is fulfilled. Each day bathe and fast, performing the recitation method as before. The wondrous words are:
