Considering that the ocean of the canon is vast and boundless, its shores beyond comprehension, the sacred path is broad and flat, its destination reaching directly to the root source—how much more so for the essential gateway of the perfect interpenetration of exoteric and esoteric teachings, which reaches the supreme principle of nature and characteristics, existence and emptiness! Only vidyādharas may inquire into this path. By fortunate karma in connection with the Buddhist lineage, I have encountered an era of sage rule: the teachings burn brightly, and the Buddhadharma has never been more flourishing than today; carriage tracks and script are unified, and China and India alike have submitted to this supreme transformation. Looking upon this treasure buried in dust, how could it remain locked away in a casket? I respectfully engrave this text so that it may circulate and be included in the canon. I reverently pray that the wheel of the Dharma may turn extensively, that the emperor's lifespan may be praised for billions of years with sagely calculations, that the sun of the Buddha may hang high, that through the causes and conditions of the one great matter all may clarify their fundamental wisdom, that literary talents and martial valor be distinguished, sons be filial and ministers loyal, that warfare cease in all eight directions, and wind and rain be harmonized throughout the six directions; may the supreme merit be inexhaustible to pen and tongue, and may this grace universally assist, benefiting both oneself and others.
