1.30

《准提陀羅尼經》云：「佛言：『此呪能滅十惡五逆一切罪障，成就一切白法功德。持此呪者，不問在家出家、飲酒食肉、有妻子等，不揀淨穢，但依我法無不成就。至心持誦，能使短命眾生增延壽命，及除無量病苦，迦摩羅疾尚得除差，何況餘病，若不消差無有是處。若誦此呪一百八遍，如是不絕滿四十九日，每有善惡吉祥災變，准提菩薩令二聖者常隨其人，所有善惡心之所念，皆於耳邊一一具報。又誦此呪，能令國王大臣長者婆羅門等，生愛敬心見即歡喜，隨其所願悉得成就。若有無福無相，求官不遷貧苦所逼，常誦此呪，能令現世得輪王福，所求官位必當稱遂。若常持誦，水不能溺火不能燒，毒藥刀兵冤家病苦皆不能害。又若依法誦滿一百萬遍，便得往詣十方淨土，歷事諸佛得聞妙法速證菩提。』」

The Cundī Dhāraṇī Sūtra states: 'The Buddha said: "This mantra can eradicate all sinful obstacles of the ten non-virtues and five heinous crimes, and accomplish all merits of pure dharmas. Those who uphold this mantra—regardless of whether lay or renunciant, whether drinking alcohol or eating meat, whether having a wife and children, and without distinguishing pure or impure—as long as they rely on my method, there is nothing that will not be accomplished. If recited with utmost sincerity, it can lengthen the lifespan of short-lived beings and remove immeasurable pains of illness; even kāmalā disease can be cured, not to mention other illnesses; if it is not eliminated, that is impossible. If one recites this mantra one hundred and eight times, thus uninterruptedly for forty-nine days, whenever there are good, evil, auspicious, or calamitous occurrences, Bodhisattva Cundī will cause two holy beings to constantly follow that person, reporting into their ear every thought of good or evil in their mind. Furthermore, reciting this mantra can cause kings, ministers, elders, brāhmaṇas, and others to produce feelings of love and respect and rejoice upon seeing them, and whatever they wish for will all be accomplished. If there are people without merit and auspicious marks, whose pursuit of official rank is stalled, and who are pressed by poverty and hardship, if they constantly recite this mantra, it can cause them to obtain the fortune of a cakravartin in the present life, and the official positions they seek will surely be fulfilled. If one constantly recites and upholds it, water cannot drown, fire cannot burn, and poisons, weapons, enemies, and illnesses cannot harm them. Furthermore, if one recites it in accordance with the Dharma for a full one million times, one will then be able to go to the pure lands of the ten directions, serve all Buddhas, hear the wondrous Dharma, and swiftly realize bodhi."'
