1.59

《佛頂尊勝陀羅尼經》云：「此呪能破一切地獄，琰魔王界傍生之苦，迴趣善道。此呪不可思議有大神力，若復有人一經於耳，先世所造一切惡業悉皆消滅，當得清淨勝妙之身，隨所生佛土、諸天所生之處，憶持不忘。若人欲總須臾憶念此呪，還得增壽，身口意淨亦無苦痛，隨其福利悉蒙安隱，亦令一切如來之所瞻視，一切天神常為侍衛，人所敬重、惡障消除，一切菩薩同為覆護，諸佛淨土及諸天宮，一切菩薩甚深行願，隨意遊入悉無障礙。捨此身已，即得往生種種微妙諸佛剎土。」

The Uṣṇīṣavijayā Dhāraṇī Sūtra says: "This mantra can destroy all the sufferings of the hells, the realm of King Yama, and the animal realm, and redirect [beings] toward the good destinies. This mantra is inconceivable and possesses great divine power; if it merely passes through a person's ears, all the evil karmas created in past lives will all be eliminated, and they will attain a pure, supreme, and wondrous body; in whatever Buddha lands or places among the devas they are born, they will remember and retain it without forgetting. If someone wishes to remember and recite this mantra for even an instant, their lifespan will be prolonged, their body, speech, and mind will be purified without suffering or pain, and they will all receive peace and security in accordance with their blessings and benefits; moreover, all Tathāgatas will gaze upon them, all heavenly deities will constantly serve as their bodyguards, they will be revered by people, their evil obstructions will be eliminated, all bodhisattvas will together shelter and protect them, and into the pure lands of all Buddhas, all heavenly palaces, and all the profound practices and vows of all bodhisattvas, they may wander and enter at will without any hindrance. Having shed this body, they will immediately attain rebirth in various subtle and wondrous Buddha kṣetras."
