問曰：「菩提是一，修因亦應不二。何故在此修因向佛果，名為難行，往生淨土期大菩提，乃名易行道也？」

He asks: "Bodhi is one, and the cultivation of the cause should also not be two. Why is cultivating the cause here toward the Buddha-fruit called the difficult path, while attaining rebirth in the Pure Land to expect great bodhi is called the easy path?"
