答曰：「此是報身，示現隱沒相，非滅度也。彼經云：『阿彌陀佛入涅槃後，復有深厚善根眾生，還見如故。』即其證也。又《寶性論》云：『報身有五種相：說法及可見，諸業不休息及休息隱沒，示現不實體，即其證也。』」

The answer is: This is the reward body manifesting the appearance of disappearance; it is not extinction. That sūtra says: 'After Amitābha Buddha enters nirvāṇa, sentient beings with deep and thick roots of goodness will still see him as before.' This is the proof. Furthermore, the Ratnagotravibhāga says: 'The reward body has five aspects: preaching the Dharma and being visible, constant work without rest and resting into disappearance, and manifesting a non-real substantial entity; this is the proof.'
