2.44

第一、此彼取相，料簡縛脫者。若取西方淨相，疾得解脫，純受極樂，智眼開朗；若取此方穢相，唯有妄樂，癡盲厄縛憂怖。

"First, regarding grasping forms in this and that [realm] and examining bondage and liberation: If one grasps the pure forms of the western [land], one quickly attains liberation, exclusively experiences Sukhāvatī, and the eye of wisdom becomes bright and clear. If one grasps the defiled forms of this realm, there is only delusional pleasure, along with blind ignorance, hardship, bondage, sorrow, and fear."
