問曰：如安法師淨土論說，淨穢二土為一質異見？為異質異見？為無質而見？彼釋言：一質不成故淨穢虧盈，異質不成故搜玄即冥，無質不成故緣起萬形。雖有此釋，文義幽隱。請為開示，廣陳玄旨。

Question: As Dharma Master Dao'an's Treatise on the Pure Land says: Are the two lands, pure and impure, one substance perceived differently? Are they different substances perceived differently? Or are they perceived without substance? His explanation states: 'Because being one substance cannot be established, purity and impurity wax and wane; because being different substances cannot be established, when searching into the profound, they merge; because being without substance cannot be established, dependent arising forms myriad shapes.' Although there is this explanation, the meaning of the text is abstruse and hidden. Please elucidate it and expound the profound principle at length.
