問曰：《大集月藏分》第十卷云「娑婆世界誹謗正法、毀呰賢聖眾生，一切十方清淨佛土共所擯棄。」故知此經擯棄眾生，即第三階人，不合得生淨土。如何今日遣彼三階惡人同於初二階者，言俱得生淨土者哉？

Question: Fascicle 10 of the Candragarbha section of the Mahāsaṃnipāta Sūtra states: 'Sentient beings of the Sahā world who slander the true Dharma and revile the noble and holy are collectively cast out by all the pure Buddha-lands of the ten directions.' Thus we know that the sentient beings cast out by this sūtra are third-stage people, who should not attain rebirth in the pure land. Why do you today make those evil people of the third stage equal to those of the first and second stages, asserting that all can attain rebirth in the pure land?
