5.22

問曰：生彼淨土，未入聖流，既是凡夫，具眾煩惱，如何不起諸不善業？若起者，即與本願相違，言「我土眾生無有不善之名」。如何會釋也？

Question: Having been born in that pure land without yet having entered the holy stream, since one is an ordinary person endowed with all defilements, how could one not give rise to various unwholesome karmas? If they do arise, it would contradict the original vow which states, 'In my land, sentient beings do not have even the name of what is unwholesome.' How is this to be reconciled and explained?
