問曰：如舍利弗、大目連等所得五通，不越三千大千世界。如何生彼凡夫即能下至見聞神通等，超過百千萬億諸佛世界。以此准知，往生淨土者皆是大根大行菩薩往生，非是凡夫所能生也。

Question: The five supernormal knowledges attained by the likes of Śāriputra and Mahāmaudgalyāyana do not exceed the trichiliocosm. How is it that ordinary beings born there can, at the minimum, have supernormal vision, hearing, and so forth that surpass hundreds of thousands of koṭis of Buddha worlds? From this we may infer that those who attain rebirth in the Pure Land are all bodhisattvas of great faculties and great practices; it is not something that ordinary beings are able to attain.
