問：「眾生罪業，大積如山，何得十念須滅爾許惡業。假令百千萬遍，猶是太少，若不滅惡業，復何得往生淨土乎？」

Question: 'The sinful karma of sentient beings accumulates heavily like a mountain; how could ten recitations extinguish such evil karma? Even a million repetitions would still be far too few; if the evil karma is not extinguished, how can they attain rebirth in the pure land?'
