What is clarified here regarding the land of Sukhāvatī is that it responds to the profound depths of vows and practices, manifesting the enduring fruition of virtues. Its eighteenfold perfect purities surpass and transcend the three realms; its five sense bases and excellent marks outshine and leave no succession to the six heavens. Rare fragrances and Dharma flavours sustain body and mind—who experiences the torment of morning hunger or evening thirst? The jade forests and fragrant breezes are ever moderate in warmth and coolness; originally there is no distress of winter cold or summer heat. Host of immortals assemble together, frequently bathing in the lotus ponds of eight virtues, thereby bidding eternal farewell to the repulsive wrinkles of old age; superior companions accompany one another, wandering far to Buddha lands of the ten directions, thereby casting far away the disquieting sorrows and weariness. What is more, hearing the resonance of the Dharma one enters the signless; seeing the Buddha's light one awakens to the unborn. Awakening to the unborn, there is nothing that is not born; entering the formless, there is nothing that is not formed. Utterly pure and of supreme bliss, it cannot be measured by mind and thought; boundless and limitless, how could words exhaust it? Such a pure land is praised and exhorted by the Buddhas of the ten directions, and wandered and dwelt in by the noble assemblies of the triyāna.
