答：「念佛法中，許住持寺觀。何以故？現在住持好處，當來擬生好國，擬證菩提，所以令住持寺，亦入伽藍寺舍好處。難曰：伽藍精舍好處，下惡眾生不令住；無上殊勝妙果，下惡眾生不可得。」

Answer: "In the teaching of buddhānusmṛti, residing in monasteries and abbeys is permitted. Why is this? Residing in good places in the present, one intends to be reborn in a good realm in the future and intends to realize bodhi; therefore they are made to reside in monasteries, and also enter fine places in saṃghārāma monasteries. The objection says: 'Inferior and evil sentient beings are not permitted to dwell in the fine places of saṃghārāma monasteries; the unsurpassed, superior, and wondrous fruit cannot be attained by inferior and evil sentient beings.'"
