問：「《往生論》云：『女人及根缺，二乘種不生。』《觀經》何故說韋提希并五百侍女同得往生？中品三人，二乘往生？」

Question: "The Treatise on Rebirth says: 'Women, those with deficient sense organs, and the lineage of the two vehicles are not reborn.' Why, then, does the Contemplation Sūtra say that Vaidehī and her five hundred female attendants all attained rebirth together, and that the three classes of the middle grade are rebirth for the two vehicles?"
