1.28

問曰：「湯獄之子殊未發心，如來法王宥過與記，千光散射，十號圓明。誠如佛言，孰敢不信？原夫未悟，從何得醒耶？」

The questioner says: 'Those in the boiling hell have not yet generated the mind at all, yet the Tathāgata, the Dharma King, pardons their faults and gives them prediction, radiating thousands of lights, with the ten titles completely luminous. Truly, as the Buddha says, who would dare disbelieve? But tracing back to the state of being unawakened, from what can they be aroused?'
