對曰：「梵云般舟，此云現前，謂思惟不已，佛現定中。凡九十日常行道者，助般舟之緣，非正釋其義也。」

I reply: “In Sanskrit it is called pratyutpanna, and here it is translated as ‘manifesting before one,’ meaning that through uninterrupted reflection, the Buddha manifests in samādhi. The general practice of continuously walking for ninety days is an auxiliary condition for pratyutpanna, not the direct explanation of its meaning.”
