「『猗歟公則，先甘法味，知我者希，
其道乃貴，金光夜朗，玉顏朝睟，
不捨有緣，言告其類。』」

“‘Splendid was Gongze! / He was the first to savor the flavor of the Dharma. / Those who understand me are rare, / and so his way was truly precious. / The golden light shone bright at night; / his jade countenance was radiant in the morning. / Not abandoning those with whom he had karmic affinity, / he spoke to inform his fellows.’”
