問曰：「圓念三世，或專面一方，謹聞幽義也。皆有念、有思，有生、有滅，安得與《勝天王所問經》以無所念心而修念佛之旨同焉？」

Question: Regarding the circular mindfulness of the three times or exclusively facing one direction, I have respectfully heard the subtle meaning. All of these involve mindfulness and thought, arising and ceasing; how can they agree with the purport of the *Sūtra of the Questions of Pravaranṛpati*, which cultivates buddha-mindfulness with a mind that has nothing to be mindful of?
