若有聞此經者，於無上道終不退轉，是故應當專心說行。吾說此經法，令見無量壽佛及其國土，所當為者皆可求之，無得以我滅度之後復生疑惑。當來之世，經道滅盡，我以慈愍，特留此經止住百歲。其有眾生值斯經者，隨意所願皆可得度。其有不信讚歎稱揚阿彌陀佛名號而謗毀者，五劫之中當墮地獄具受眾苦。

If there are those who hear this sūtra, they will ultimately never retrogress from the unsurpassed way; therefore, one should expound and practice it single-mindedly. I preach this sūtra-dharma so that you may see the Buddha of Immeasurable Life and his land; whatever ought to be done may all be sought, and you must not give rise to doubt again after my extinction. In the future age when the scriptural way is completely extinguished, I, out of compassion and pity, will specially preserve this sūtra to remain for a hundred years. Any sentient beings who encounter this sūtra can all attain deliverance according to their desires and vows. If there are those who do not believe, praise, or extol the name of Amitābha Buddha, but slander and revile it, they will fall into hell for five kalpas, undergoing all kinds of suffering.
