佛告彌勒、諸天人等：「無量壽國，微妙安樂清淨若此。何不力為善？念道之自然，著於無上下、洞達無邊際。宜各勤精進，努力自求之，必得超絕去，往生安養國，橫截五惡道，惡趣自然閉。昇道無窮極，易往而無人。其國不逆違，自然之所牽。何不棄世事，勤行求道德，可獲極長生，壽樂無有極。」

The Buddha told Maitreya, the devas, humans, and others: 'The land of Immeasurable Life is subtle, wondrous, serene, joyful, and pure like this. Why do you not vigorously do good? Be mindful of the spontaneity of the Way, adhering to that which has neither above nor below, penetrating without boundary. You should each diligently strive with vigor, exerting yourselves to seek it on your own; you will surely be able to transcend and depart, attaining rebirth in the Land of Peaceful Nurture, cutting across the five evil destinies so that the bad realms close naturally. Ascending the Way is limitless; it is easy to go, yet no one is there. That land does not turn away or oppose anyone; it naturally attracts them. Why do you not abandon worldly affairs, diligently practice to seek the Way and virtue, so that you may obtain ultimate longevity, with life and joy that have no end?'
