若人六時倍復精進，如法嚴治身器，依法持誦，滿一落叉，是業成熟，觀世音菩薩現金色身，當滅無始一切根本重罪。若不現者，復倍精進，誦滿二落叉或三落叉。是業成熟，觀世音定當現身執手，指示西方淨土，阿彌陀佛坐寶蓮華師子之座，復得阿彌陀佛手摩其頭，謂同彼土一切菩薩福命功德。捨此身後，往於西方安樂國土上品蓮華，具諸相好，識宿命智，得不退轉。

If someone redoubles their diligence during the six periods of the day, properly purifies and prepares the physical vessel, and recites according to the Dharma until completing one lakṣa, then when this karma ripens, Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva will manifest a golden body, and all fundamental grave transgressions from beginningless time will be eradicated. If the Bodhisattva does not appear, one should further redouble one's diligence and recite until completing two or three lakṣas. When this karma ripens, Avalokiteśvara is certain to manifest in person, take one by the hand, and point toward the Western Pure Land, where Amitābha Buddha sits upon a lion seat of jeweled lotus flowers; furthermore, one will obtain Amitābha Buddha rubbing one's head with his hand, pronouncing one's blessings, lifespan, and merit to be equal to those of all the bodhisattvas in that land. After casting off this body, one will be reborn in the highest grade of lotus in the Western Land of Peace and Bliss, fully endowed with all major and minor marks, possessing the wisdom that knows past lives, and attaining non-retrogression.
