論三十六曰「當知釋迦文佛更有清淨國土，如阿彌陀佛國。阿彌陀佛亦有不嚴淨國，如釋迦文佛國。」又三十八卷曰「此間閻浮惡故，釋迦壽應短；餘處好故，佛壽應長。」

Fascicle thirty-six of the treatise states: "You should know that Śākyamuni Buddha also has a pure land, like Amitābha Buddha's land. Amitābha Buddha also has an unadorned and defiled land, like Śākyamuni Buddha's land." Furthermore, fascicle thirty-eight states: "Because this Jambudvīpa here is evil, Śākyamuni's lifespan was appropriately short; because other places are good, the Buddha's lifespan is appropriately long."
