余編類斯文，所以先示經論者，欲修淨業人務本故也。其諸經論皆散在大藏，今載經題函號以助撿閱之易耳。

In compiling this anthology, the reason I first present the sutras and treatises is that I wish practitioners of pure karma to attend to the fundamentals. These various sutras and treatises are scattered throughout the great canon; now I record their titles and case markers to facilitate convenient consultation.
