Amitābha Buddha of the West has vows concerning Jambudvīpa, and the sentient beings of this land have karmic affinities with that Buddha. Therefore, those suffering all pains first recite my name, and those praying for all blessings mostly depict my image. As for answering sincerity and arriving upon resonance, granting rebirth according to vows, his divine swiftness and pervasive transformation are not matched by the Buddhas of the three periods of time and ten directions. Ah! The Buddhas do not vary, yet vows and affinities do vary. There is a female disciple, the Commandery Mistress of Hongnong, surnamed Yang, styled Lotus Nature, who gave rise to a vast vow and gave up pure wealth to embroider an image of Amitābha Buddha of the West and one set of the retinue of his native land, dedicated on behalf of her late elder sister Lady Yang of the Li family, to extinguish her past misdeeds and pursue unseen blessings for her. Casting in bronze and painting in pigment are not as diligent and refined as embroidering patterns with needles; contemplating forms and reciting the name are not as intimate as beholding the marks and characteristics. As for the maker, her sincerity cannot fail to be manifest, and the resonance cannot fail to penetrate; as for the recipient, her transgressions cannot fail to be extinguished, and her blessings cannot fail to accumulate. At that time, Lotus Nature burned incense, joined her palms, knelt, and chanted a praise, saying:
