《觀經》第九真法身觀云「無量壽佛身如百千萬億夜摩天閻浮檀金色，佛身高六十萬億那由他恒河沙由旬。至云無量壽佛有八萬四千相，一一相各有八萬四千隨形好等。」

The ninth contemplation, the contemplation of the true Dharma-body, in the Contemplation Sūtra states: "The body of the Buddha Amitāyus is like the gold of the Jambu River in hundreds of thousands of kotis of Yāma heavens; the Buddha's body is six hundred thousand kotis of nayutas of Ganges-sands of yojanas in height." It goes on to say: "The Buddha Amitāyus has eighty-four thousand marks, and each mark has eighty-four thousand secondary signs," and so forth.
