朱或《可談》紀「蔡元度子，乃悟前身是潤州丹陽王家兒子。訪之，果然妻子尚在。來見與語，敘舊宛合。至八九歲，漸熟世境，旋忘前事。

Zhu Huo's Ketan records: “The son of Cai Yuandu awakened to the fact that his former life was the son of the Wang family of Danyang in Runzhou. When they inquired about it, his wife and children were indeed still alive. When they came to see and speak with him, their recollections of the past matched precisely. By the age of eight or nine, as he gradually became accustomed to worldly realms, he soon forgot the matters of his past life.”
