2.85

《可談》云「雍丘李三禮有女子，名小師，年數歲乃曰：『我前身是黃陂典吏雷澤兒子，名曰亭甫。年十七歲，因患足瘡而死，有今世也。』時雍丘牛商多在黃陂尋問，宛爾符契。他日雷澤往見，小師一見便呼為父。政和八年，小師來黃陂，抱其舊母號泣不已。又數與邑人說其平昔之事，皆驗。」

The Ketan states: “Li Sanli of Yongqiu had a daughter named Xiaoshi. When she was several years old, she said: ‘In my former life I was Tingfu, the son of the clerk Lei Ze of Huangpi. At the age of seventeen, I died from suffering a foot sore, and thus have this present life.’ At that time, many cattle merchants from Yongqiu were in Huangpi inquiring about it, and it matched exactly. Later, Lei Ze went to see her, and as soon as Xiaoshi saw him, she called him father. In the eighth year of the Zhenghe reign era, Xiaoshi came to Huangpi, embraced her former mother, and wept without stopping. Furthermore, several times she spoke with the townsfolk about things from her past life, and all were verified.”
