The Xiangyang stone engraving of the *Amitābha-sūtra* was written by Chen Renling of the Sui dynasty; its calligraphy is pure and graceful, and many people admire and cherish it. From "with a mind that is single and undisturbed" downward, it says: "Single-mindedly uphold the name, because by reciting the name, all sins are extinguished, which is itself many good roots, blessings, and virtues as causes and conditions." The versions transmitted in the world today omit these twenty-one characters. Moreover, the canon version of this sūtra is also called the *Sūtra of Being Gathered and Received by All Buddhas*, which presents the Buddhas of the ten directions, located under the character *yang* in the catalogue order. Today's edition omits the Buddhas of four directions.
