造至深之理者雖居濁世，與淨土何以異哉？故此卷載至深之理名淨濁如一。然亦不可恃此而不修淨土之業，恐易涉於空談，又若參禪者之弊故也。

Though one who attains the most profound principle resides in a defiled world, how is it different from the Pure Land? Therefore, this fascicle records the most profound principle, entitled "Purity and Defilement as One." Yet one must also not rely on this and fail to cultivate Pure Land practice, for fear of easily lapsing into empty talk, just like the pitfall of Chan practitioners.
