公則，遠公白蓮社中人。已亡，友人於東京白馬寺為作忌日，林木殿宇皆金色，空中有聲云：「我是闕公則，所祈往生極樂寶國，今已遠矣，故來相報。」言訖不現。

Gongze was a member of Master Yuan's White Lotus Society. After he died, a friend held a memorial service for him at Baima Temple in the Eastern Capital. The groves, trees, and temple halls all turned golden, and a voice in the sky said: 'I am Que Gongze. The jewel land of Sukhāvatī where I prayed to be reborn is now far reached, so I have come to inform you.' When he finished speaking, he disappeared.
