6.62

有罪惡人當自念云：我平生罪惡既多，一旦閉眼之後，當奈之何？須急懺悔迴心，念阿彌陀佛，發大願云：「願我見佛得道之後，盡度從生以來一切所害之人，使皆生淨土。」念念不絕，念自純熟，則可漸除惡業、增長善緣，定生極樂世界。若能轉以化人，使更相勸化，非徒現世可以滅罪，身後亦福報無窮。

Sinful and evil people should reflect to themselves: "My sins and evils throughout life have been many; once my eyes close, what will become of me? I must urgently repent, turn my mind, recollect Amitābha Buddha, and make a great vow: 'I vow that after seeing the Buddha and attaining the Way, I will completely deliver all people harmed throughout my life, causing them all to be born in the Pure Land.'" Recite mindfulness after mindfulness without interruption; when mindfulness naturally matures, one can gradually eliminate evil karma and increase wholesome conditions, definitely being born in Sukhāvatī. If one can further transform others, having them mutually exhort and transform one another, not only can sins be extinguished in the present life, but after death the meritorious retribution will also be boundless.
