《楞伽經》說「淵源理致除一切妄想」。此一經有三譯，其十卷者太繁；四卷雖達磨發揚、東彼所書，譯得大晦，難讀難曉；唯七卷者分明。修淨土欲上品上生者，須讀誦大乘經典解第一義，故此不可不知。在四字號。

The *Laṅkāvatāra-sūtra* speaks of the profound principle eliminating all false thoughts. This single sūtra has three translations: the one in ten fascicles is too verbose; the four-fascicle version, although propagated by Bodhidharma and written down by Dongbi, was translated very obscurely, difficult to read and difficult to understand; only the seven-fascicle version is clear and distinct. One who cultivates the Pure Land and wishes for rebirth in the highest grade of the highest category must read and recite the Mahāyāna scriptures and understand the supreme meaning. Therefore, this must be understood. It is in the letter-case "Si".
