廬山蓮宗寶鑑 8.18

8.18

又放光明名見佛，此光覺悟將終者，
令隨憶念見如來，命終得生其淨國。
見有臨終勸念佛，及示尊像令瞻仰，
俾於佛所深歸信，是故得成此光明。

[The Buddha] also emits a light called 'Seeing the Buddha'; / this light awakens those about to die, / causing them, following their mindfulness, to see the Tathāgata / and at the end of life to attain birth in his pure realm. / Seeing one about to die, encouraging buddhānusmṛti, / and showing the venerable image to be gazed upon, / causing one to take deep refuge and have faith in the Buddha: / therefore one attains the realization of this radiance.
