2.71

Severing and eliminating afflictions, cutting off all traces,
Extinguishing wisdom and turning the heart to ashes, one ceases and rests;
Unable to advance toward the jeweled place,
The Tathāgata by expedient means therefore detains them.
Vertically transcending the three realms is the nature of the śrāvaka;
Afflictions and defiling toil are hastily cut off.
Entering samādhi in the four dhyānas, repeatedly contemplating and refining,
Forever transcending the ordinary world, never returning.
