2.33

極樂世界最清淨，莊嚴微妙超世間，
彌陀願力同虛空，相好光明亦如是。
念念不離眾生界，普度我等生其邦，
我等自甘生死中，歷劫沈淪莫超越。
彼佛垂臂待已久，咨嗟彈指誠殷勤，
光明欲發蓮華開，今正是時願生彼。
身欲無常時欲過，眾苦交煎應當離，
願速念佛同修行，盡此報身生極樂。

The world of Sukhāvatī is the most pure, / its adornments subtle and surpassing the mundane world. / Amitābha's vow-power is like empty space, / and so too are his marks, characteristics, and radiance. / Thought after thought he does not depart from the realm of sentient beings, / universally saving us to be born in his realm. / We willingly stay within saṃsāra, / sinking through kalpas without transcending it. / That Buddha has long extended his arms and waited, / sighing and snapping his fingers with utmost earnestness. / The radiance is about to shine forth and the lotus blossom opens; / now is precisely the time: vow to be born there! / The body is subject to impermanence and time is about to pass; / all sufferings boil together, and one ought to leave them behind. / Vow to be mindful of the Buddha swiftly and cultivate together, / exhausting this retribution body to be born in Sukhāvatī!
