First, the Praśaṃsāpratisaṃvit-sūtra says: "If anyone hears the name of Amitāyus Tathāgata and with single-minded faith rejoices in it, when that person's life ends, Amitābha Buddha along with all the monks will stand before them, and Māra will not be able to ruin their mind of samyaksaṃbodhi." It also says: "If one upholds, recites, and remembers [this name], this person will attain immeasurable blessings, forever leave the three evil destinies, and after life ends be reborn in that land."
