凡欲為自欲為他立道場者，先須嚴飾堂舍安置尊像，旛華竟眾等無問多少，盡令洗浴著淨衣入道場聽法。若欲召請人及和讚者盡立，大眾令坐。使一人先須燒香散華周匝一遍竟，然後依法作聲召請云：

Whenever one wishes to establish a bodhimaṇḍa for oneself or for others, one must first adorn and decorate the hall and room, install the venerable images, banners, and flowers. When finished, regardless of whether the assembly is large or small, have them all bathe, put on clean clothes, and enter the bodhimaṇḍa to listen to the Dharma. If there are those who are to invoke and invite, and those who harmonize the hymns, they should all stand, while the great assembly is made to sit. First have one person burn incense and scatter flowers, going around once all the way. When finished, then according to the Dharma raise the voice to invoke and invite, saying:
