2.23

願往生願往生，三界眾生無智慧，惛惛六道內安身。諸佛慈心為說法，聾盲觝突伴不聞。忽爾無常苦來逼，精神錯亂始驚忙。萬事家生皆捨離，專心發願向西方，彌陀名號相續念，化佛菩薩眼前行，或與華臺或授手，須臾命盡佛迎將。眾等回心皆願往，手執香華常供養。

Aspiring to rebirth, aspiring to rebirth: / Sentient beings of the three realms are devoid of wisdom, / Blindly resting their bodies within the six paths. / The Buddhas, with compassionate hearts, preach the Dharma for them, / Yet like the deaf and blind rushing headlong, they refuse to hear. / Suddenly, the suffering of impermanence presses upon them; / Their minds thrown into confusion, only then are they alarmed and frantic. / All ten thousand affairs and household goods are abandoned; / Single-mindedly they bring forth the vow directed toward the West. / Mindfully chanting Amitābha's name in unbroken succession, / Transformation Buddhas and bodhisattvas walk before their eyes, / Either bestowing a lotus dais or extending a hand; / In an instant, life ends, and the Buddha welcomes and leads them away. / The assembly turns their hearts, all wishing to go there, / Holding fragrant flowers in hand, ever making offerings.
