欲選當生處，西方最可歸，
間樹開重閣，滿道布鮮衣，
香飯隨心至，寶殿逐身飛，
有緣皆得入，正自往人希。
願共諸眾生，往生安樂國。

If you wish to choose a place to be born,
The West is most worthy to turn to:
Between the trees stand multi-storied pavilions;
Fresh garments spread throughout the paths.
Fragrant meals arrive as one thinks of them;
Jeweled palaces fly following one's body.
All who have affinity can gain entry,
Yet those who actually go are rare.
I vow, together with all sentient beings,
To be reborn in the Land of Peace and Bliss.
