今日已過，暮夜難保，但觀此身，念念衰老。
百年常期，如何可保？是故眾等，勤心行道。
諸行無常，是生滅法，生滅滅已，寂滅為樂。

This day has already passed;
The night is difficult to secure.
Only observe this body:
Thought by thought, it decays and grows old.
A hundred-year span is the usual term—
How can it be guaranteed?
Therefore, members of the assembly,
Diligent in mind, practice the Way!
All conditioned things are impermanent;
This is the law of arising and ceasing.
When arising and ceasing have ceased,
Quiescent extinction is bliss.
