中輩中行中根人，一日齋戒處金蓮，
孝養父母教迴向，為說西方快樂因。
佛與聲聞眾來取，直到彌陀華座邊，
百寶華籠經七日，三品蓮開證小真。

People of the middle tier, middle practices, and middling faculties / Observe the fast for a single day and dwell in golden lotuses; / Filially nurturing their parents, they are taught to dedicate the merit, / And are told of the causes for bliss in the western direction. / The Buddha and the assembly of śrāvakas come to receive them, / Leading them straight to the side of Amitābha's flower throne. / Enclosed within the cage of the hundred-jewelled flower for seven days, / The three grades of lotuses open and they realize lesser reality.
