2.48

When any sentient being approaches the end of life, these two bodhisattvas together bring a flower pedestal and present it to the practitioner. Amitābha Buddha emits great light shining upon the practitioner's body, and together with countless transformed buddhas, bodhisattvas, śrāvakas, and the great assembly, he simultaneously extends his hand, so that in the snap of a finger one attains rebirth in the Pure Land. In order to repay this debt of gratitude, with a sincere mind pay homage to them with one prostration.
